What Makes Plants Magical

What Makes Plants Magical

For me, plants were the earliest, illustrated instance of magic manifested. Under Mother Dear's tutelage, I watched limp, dry, and malnourished plants not only find new life and thrive, but flourish and fruit.

With a little love, attention, water, and eggshells, my great-grandmother showed me how to resurrect. And when she cut off a piece of her pothos after someone announced an engagement or pregnancy and stuck it in some water to propagate it, I was SAT (enthralled for my non-native visitors) and literally watched an entire plant grow from just a stem.

That, my plantie friends, was my introduction to magic and plants, and that stuck with me well into adulthood. I didn't realize it at the time, but cultivation was my birthright. This series will serve as an introduction to what makes plants magical and teach you all how to be expert plant parents.
